We’re delighted to welcome on board the Ice the Cake network, Buckinghamshire based Wedding Caterers, Lavender Dining!
Lavender Dining, owned by Ben and Claire Freeman, launched recently with almost 20 years experience in private and corporate events. With Ben’s flair for exquisite food, alongside Claire’s knowledge and passion for events management, they’ve created the perfect business match.Based in Stone, Aylesbury this fabulous wedding caterer cover Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and London and are more than happy to travel further based on their clients’ requirements.
Lavender Dining are incredibly versatile – they can provide gorgeous catering for an intimate dinner for two (take note Mr ITC), up to a banquet for 500 guests and all with the flare and finesse this company are becoming known for. With a sweetie cart available to hire, complete with vintage weighing scales, chair covers, table pieces and bars also available, it seems there’s nothing this family-run business can’t assist their clients with!
Ben and Claire credit their family and friends as their inspiration for starting Lavender Dining and they truly love being part of a Bride and Groom’s big day. With every event being special and unique, the pair pride themselves on offering bespoke menus that really symbolise Bride and Groom, as couples. Their favourite wedding breakfast is the ‘Head of Table’ where a nominated guest on each table carves a joint of meat, essentially ‘playing Mum’ in a chef’s hat and apron, whilst the Lavender Dining team deliver a variety of accompaniments. The team enjoy watching guests who’ve never met before, laughing and getting to know one another over the love of good food!
There have been many trends in the industry in 2013 and one of the biggest Lavender Dining have noticed is the demand for village hall weddings. With families and friends helping to decorate, plus traditional touches such as floral bunting, wild flower centrepieces, mismatched teacups, long table layouts and vintage sweetie carts, a gorgeous wedding can be achieved without spending a fortune. Delicious summer menus with summer salads and desserts topped with edible flowers have been the icing on the cake too!
Lavender Dining’s top tip for Brides and Grooms is to try to incorporate some personal touches into your plans for the day so your wedding is unique to you as a couple.
Here at Ice the Cake, we’d like offer a very warm welcome to Lavender Dining and to share with you a little secret of theirs… if you love unique and quirky, then watch out for something very special coming for 2014!
